Kristin Hay

Owner & Lead Designer

Originally a midwesterner, I moved to Colorado over a decade ago to be near the mountains. I still pinch myself that I get to live and work in a place where I used to go on vacation! Now I live in Colorado Springs with my husband and daughter, where you might find me on a hike, watching a period drama, or eating homemade ice cream.

I’ve always been an artist and design enthusiast, but it took me several years and job changes to realize that it needed to be my career. I launched Kind Floral in 2020 with a desire to pursue a personal creative journey that could simultaneously bring true value to someone else’s story. Deciding to focus exclusively on weddings - such an intimate, anticipated, cherished season in someone’s life - resonated with me deeply.

To me, flowers are an invitation to live in the present and enjoy meaningful connections. Flowers on the table make me think of drawn out dinners, unhurried conversation, another glass of wine. Flowers are fleeting and ephemeral, but they’re a reminder that spending time in the presence of something beautiful is time well spent.

My desire is that your wedding flowers offer you a similar experience. At Kind Floral, we’re convinced that your floral designs help set the overall feel, the emotions, and the memories created at your wedding. A well-designed, well-executed event immerses you and your guests into shared moments that you experience together,

I consider it an incredible honor to be invited into such a personal, meaningful chapter of your story, and I find no greater joy than for you to be absolutely blown away when you see your flowers for the first time.

VALUES

Our

Local Sourcing

We’re grateful to have an incredible network of local flower farmers here in the Colorado Springs area. Purchasing local supports fellow small business owners, promotes sustainable and organic growing practices, and also provides greater access to unique, delicate, and specialty flower varieties for your event that aren’t available via the typical wholesale floral industry.

 Client Experience

Our goal is for your wedding flowers to be the most worry-free aspect of your wedding planning. You value the wedding day results, but you’re also looking for a vendor team who’s professional, clear, respectful of your time, quick to respond to your emails, and transparent about pricing and expectations. We’re attentive to all the little details that create an effortless experience for you as the client.

Generosity

Kind Floral donates to Shores of Grace, a non-profit whose dream is to see the end of prostitution in Brazil in our lifetime. Their focus is setting those in abuse free and walking them through restoration. They also run a home for at-risk children and adolescents. Learn more about their work and mission.

WE DESIGN immersive experiences THAT CAPTURE THE EMOTIONS OF your love story.

ABOUT YOU

 the

 PERFECT match

Our clients are lovers of collected experiences and curated moments, and they see the value well-executed details have in creating a one-of-a-kind event.

They’re drawn to style and design, and they desire a wedding day experience that’s elegant, personalized, and will outlast trends.

They choose a Colorado wedding because they’re drawn to the mountain vistas, the stunning scenery, and the easygoing feel, and they want their floral designs to capture and accentuate that natural beauty.

They’re kind-hearted, ambitious, and extremely busy building their lives together. They have high demands on their time and need a florist who can interpret their style and give them direction without overloading them with decisions.
